The parties will say anything to get your vote. Both of your extremes are right.
The government is a body with employees getting paid to make sure things remain as they are.
Politicians are run by lobbyists. The people are run by media.
The media is run by ratings and dollars.
No one cares about the individual. Turn off the TV, read a book, stop buying from any corporation that is unethical...your dollar is the only thing that elicits change.
